"Freaks And Geeks" by Childish Gambino

Full Song on YouTube

Not at all what I expected from Donald Glover, but good none the less. If you didn't know, the song in the new Dwight Howard Adidas commercial is by "the guy from Community".

"If I Told You This Was Killing Me, Would You Stop?" by The Juliana Theory

I mined my iTunes library for possible songs to be featured during Nostalgia Week. Unfortunately for me, it turned out to be a pretty long list. I winnowed down the list as much as possible, but was still left with more than a weeks worth of music. So, I have decided that I will be posting two songs a day for Nostalgia Week! HUZZAH! So, until this Sunday, Song A Day will be known as Two A Days! You're welcome.

On a side not, how many "True Love Waits" punk kids prematurely lost their virginity to this album? I have to imagine it's more than just a couple. Anyone care to venture a guess on the over/under?

"Crooked Crown" by The Anniversary

"Mass Pike" by The Get Up Kids

A few weeks ago Fred and I were having a talk about how great late-nineties/early-millenium "emo" was. So, thanks to the nostalgic feelings that discussion fostered in me, I will be posting only music from that great genre this week. To kick off Nostalgia Week here at Song A Day, I give you "Mass Pike" by The Get Up Kids. Hope you enjoy the week.

"Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster The People

The first song from this year that I just can't get out of my head. Big thanks to Scotty for telling me about these guys. I look forward to their full length album, whenever it comes out.
