"You Love The Thunder" by Jackson Browne

Sorry for the hiatus, but I had to write a paper the last few days and it took up all my time. But, school is over, and I am back.

This song is dedicated to the rapid approach of thunderstorm season here in the Midwest. Hopefully, it won't be a bad one.

For some reason, there are no good videos of "You Love The Thunder" online, so I just linked to Lala. If you haven't used the site before, check it out. It's better than Pandora.

"Bang The Drum All Day" by Todd Rundgren

With the end of the semester drawing near, I find this song particularly appropriate.

"Dream About The Future" by The Apples In Stereo

Pay attention Kevin Barnes, this is how you successfully transition from indie-pop to indie-disco.

"Wouldn't It Be Nice" by The Beach Boys

So, this is my 100th song. HUZZAH! In honor of the occasion, I chose to post "Wouldn't It Be Nice" by The Beach Boys. In my opinion, the single best song ever recorded.

"Turn A Square" by The Shins

"Be My Baby" by The Ronettes

That Morning Benders video from the other day got me thinking about Phil Spector. Here's one of his best. Also, love the Dirty Dancing background on the video.

"Excuses (Yours Truly Session)" by The Morning Benders

I love it when a band you like has the same influences that you do. Even more so when they have a hearty respect for the Spector approach to recording.
